Melissa Townsend

Welcome to one of the newer licensed sales associates of the Mackinac Properties Team, Melissa Townsend! Melissa has a dynamic background having lived more than half of her life in Europe with long stints in Germany, the UK and Switzerland, the latter being where she completed her advanced education in International Marketing & Business. Her early experience was in building and running the operations division for a leading competitive intelligence consultancy based in Geneva before setting up her own intelligence research agency in the UK, serving the needs of Fortune 500 pharmaceutical and biotech companies. Melissa’s interest in real estate began in the UK where she and her husband renovated two properties one which was a Victorian property from the 1800s. After moving back to the US in 2012, she and her husband continued that passion and have since renovated several older (one historic) properties here in Michigan, including in St Ignace. Melissa is inquisitive by nature with an exceptional drive to deliver results not only for her business clients but for her real estate clients alike. In her free time, Melissa can most often be found walking and tending to her many acres of woods at home with a perfect evening consisting of a home-cooked dinner and engaging in her favorite hobby – antique/vintage jewelry – she even runs a small vintage jewelry shop on ETSY.com called RhinestoneCafé!
