When we decided to sell our home we interviewed a couple of agents. Melissa and her lovely family used to live next door to us, she knows neighborhood very well and we decided to talk to her as well. She gave us lot of insightful information and many suggestions on preparing our home for sale. We were skeptical about some of her advice, but decided to follow through. It's easy to underestimate Melissa Waller. She looks like a cheerleader, absolutely lovely. But don't be fooled. There's an excellent brain beneath. She has skills in manipulating a market that befuddles many. We are getting older. Our cozy home on tiger mountain no longer worked for us. Once we decided to move in with our daughter and her spouse, we needed a real estate agent. At an open house,a Redfin employee pointed us to her. Mind you, this was a competing agent. We received a call shortly from Melissa and we have not regretted one moment.
She went through our house with a practiced eye, arranged for photos, including using an drone! She sold the house for $50,000 over the asking price! Did I mention it took her all of TWO days to do this.
Then on to buying a NEW house. We, along with Melissa, looked at many,many homes, all over the place. She never forgot what kind of home we wanted. Melissa was so helpful during our search and home purchase process! She was extremely patient with us during weeks of searching for a home that met all of our "needs" and most of our "wants." She was available, responsive, easy to talk to, realistic and happy to reach out to anyone who she thought could be helpful. There were multiple offers on the home that we now own and she helped to ensure that our bid was successful. She also secured a repair credit for us in a very competitive market! We had an extremely tight closing deadline and at the last minute didn't appraise at purchase price due to a missing handrail. Melissa obtained a contractor on the weekend (next day) to come in and install one, and had the home re-appraised in time to meet our closing deadline (all while we were out of town)!

Melissa worked tirelessly with us over the last six months to help us find, secure, and close on our dream home. She put in the time and effort to send letters, knock on doors, and scour the listing services for just the right fit. Very few agents would go to those lengths these days!

With an on-market opportunity, she had a pre-inspection and contractor meeting lined up for us at the home within 24 hours to help us quickly assess the opportunity and be prepared to submit a strong offer. While we ultimately chose not to pursue that house, both the inspector and the contractor stayed committed to helping us on an off-market opportunity based on their relationship with Melissa. She, of course, stayed committed to seeing our purchase through, as well, and handled the contract negotiations and execution perfectly. Her impeccable attention to detail even caught a $9,000 error the title company made!
