About Miao

Miao moved from the icy chill of northeast China to sunny Sarasota in 1999, so she is fluent in
both Chinese and English. She studied at Riverview High School and graduated from The
University of South Florida with a BA in Management Information Systems. Miao has a broad
range of experience, and enjoys working with everyone from first-time homebuyers to retirees to
luxury buyers and sellers. Her clients benefit from her excellent communication and negotiating
skills, along with her technical and research capabilities. Miao understands that buying or selling
a home is one of the biggest decisions one makes in life, and takes special care to guide her
customers to the right decision. Miao has been able to help her customers close properties from
the low hundred thousands to multi million dollars. There’s a reason why many of Miao's clients
are repeat customers. It’s the same reason that many of her clients become longtime friends.

5 stars doesn't recommend her highly enough. After finding Miao online, and reading her profile, I felt that she would be a good fit for what we were looking for in a realtor. Miao is extremely knowledgeable, extremely professional and most importantly, she truly cares about her clients. She has a deep knowledge of the neighborhoods and houses in the area and provided excellent advice as we walked through the purchase process. I increasingly developed trust in her knowledge of the local real estate market and her opinion of the correct values of homes. As we worked towards closing, Miao stayed on top of the listing agent, title company and the bank to ensure the closing took place on time and with no surprises. She worked tirelessly to negotiate terms and conditions with the seller’s agent, going through many iterations. In the end, Miao found us a home that was well within our budget and located on Siesta Key. I recommend Miao Yu without hesitation.

We worked with Miao to help us find a house in Sarasota. Initially, Miao asked us insightful questions to better understand what we were seeking and listened carefully to our responses so that she could internalize our needs. Admitedly, we occasionally strayed from our prescribed path but Miao went with the flow and never displayed any frustration or hopelessness with our requests. Miao, was always well prepared to answer any questions and very skillful at matching our housing needs with her choices of houses to show with us. In addition, Miao was experienced enough to know that when a house does not feel right, because of price, value, location or amenities then it's time to move on and find another home that more closely matched our needs. I highly recommend Miao without equivocation as a very competent, friendly, knowledgeable and trustworthy Agent who will guide you through the buying or selling process efficiently and with confidence.
