Meet Michael Affeldt – Realtor®, The Boen Team
Hi, I’m Michael Affeldt, a Realtor® with The Boen Team, serving the Twin Cities metro area. What sets me apart? A unique blend of hands-on experience, sharp attention to detail, and a deep commitment to integrity.

Before real estate, I spent years as a residential and commercial painter, working on everything from historic Victorians to modern homes. I’ve also remodeled my own house from top to bottom, so when I walk through a property, I notice the details others might miss. Whether it’s spotting potential maintenance issues or recognizing the craftsmanship behind a home, I bring a trained eye and real-world know-how to every transaction.

I live in Saint Louis Park with my wife Jessie and our three dogs—two energetic German Shorthair Pointers who love pheasant hunting and a laid-back rescue pup who prefers sunny spots and easy walks. When I’m not helping clients or tackling home projects (any excuse to buy new tools), you’ll likely find me kiteboarding on a local lake or exploring new hiking trails with Jessie.

Before real estate, I served seven years as a police officer with the Metro Transit Police Department. In 2018, I was honored to be named Officer of the Year. Law enforcement taught me the importance of trust, community, and professionalism—values I now bring to my real estate clients. I believe in clear communication, honesty, and always putting my clients’ best interests first.

I’m proud to be part of The Boen Team, a group of seasoned real estate professionals who share my passion for helping people find their dream homes. Years ago, I was a client of The Boen Team myself, purchasing my first home through the Homes for Heroes program. The experience was so positive, I knew I wanted to join the team when I became a Realtor®. Now, I have the privilege of offering that same level of care and expertise to others.
