Michael Barrett

Mike’s dedication to home construction began at a young age. After working in various building trades before college, Mike attended Purdue University, where he earned a degree in Construction Management. He then worked with a large, national homebuilder for several years. This opportunity allowed Mike to gain the necessary experience to become a developer and builder in Chicago. While earning an MBA in Real Estate Finance and Investment and receiving his Real Estate Broker license, Mike combined his passion for building quality homes and working with clients to begin Barrett Homes in 2005 with his brother, John. In his spare time, Mike enjoys rooting for Chicago sports teams, training on his peloton, and supporting non-profits that are making an impact in the Chicagoland area. He lives in Roscoe Village with his wife, Elisabeth and two sons, Anderson and Benjamin, they are excited to be expecting a third child on the way.
