About Michael
Michael is a life-long resident of Warren, VT where his family has resided for many generations. He is known around the Mad River Valley as a grounded, business-savvy local with a trove of local knowledge with many years of civic service to the town of Warren. Michael (known to most as “Spike”) has held several positions in local government: the Planning Commission; the Select Board; the Historical Society and was a 27-year veteran of the Warren Fire Department. Currently, Spike is the parade marshal for the famous Warren 4th of July Parade a position he has filled ever since he, Blaise Carrig and Judy Phelon put together a group of volunteers to keep the 4th of July celebration happening year after year.
Before becoming a real estate broker, Spike built homes in the Valley and Lake Champlain towns, received a degree in Turf-grass Management from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, and worked at the Sugarbush Golf Course. He held positions at the Sugarbush Ski Area—where he was known affectionately as the “Mayor” of Mount Ellen. However, in 2000, Spike put ski area management behind him and became a real estate agent in the Mad River Valley. Today, he is the owner broker of Bradley Brook Real Estate, Inc.
Michael and his wife Karen have lived in Warren for thirty years where they have raised two children and many family pets. When not at work, he spends time enjoying the tranquil Vermont lifestyle with his family.
Spike’s unique knowledge of the Valley, its economy, its people, along with his skills as a businessman and negotiator make him the perfect choice to handle your real estate needs.
