Michael Cheney

Michael Cheney is originally from Augusta GA. He attended college and received a BBA in Marketing/Sales at Georgia Southern University where he was actively involved in his fraternity Alpha Tau Omega, as well as the American Marketing Association.

Michael graduated college in 2003 and moved to Atlanta to begin his career with a company that had a reputation for first rate sales training, a fast-paced work environment, and involvement with high level executives. Within two years at Tom James Company, Michael was able to successfully build rewarding and lasting relationships with over 200 high level executives, small business owners, and managers from multiple and diverse businesses and corporations. Michael received repeat business from more than 90% of his clients. He was consistently one of the top 2 producers in sales within his 10 person sales team. Due to his aggressive prospecting he was able to earn 2 outstanding achievement awards simultaneously.

Michael realized after working with Tom James Company, if he applied the same principles and work ethic in the Commercial Real Estate industry, he could build a long-lasting and very rewarding career. He joined the Equis Corporation, an international tenant rep company based out of Chicago. There, he successfully helped lease 60,000 sf of office and industrial space within the 1st year of his commercial real estate career.

Michael has been happily working for Richard Bowers & Company since August, 2006 specializing in tenant rep work, leasing, and Investments. He is a member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors as well as the Young Council of Realtors.
