About Michael

Mike has lived in the area for over 20 years. He moved with his wife Dawn from the Midwest down to the beautiful Gulf Coast to pursue a career in real estate. They have since had two terrific children; Isabella and Gabrielle. Mike was part of one of the pioneer families of Real Estate, joining his father, Bill, and mother, Joanne, to form the Cranston Team; circa 1998. As a team, they achieved sales records never to be matched in the area or entire Southern District. Since moving to the Gulf Coast, Mike has gained experience in many ways. He has over seen hundreds of 1031 Deferred Tax Exchanges. In recent years, he has earned certification as a Certified Distress Property Expert and has navigated his clients into many successful short sale transactions. He is an expert in developing gulf front pre-construction condominium projects, as well listing and selling existing homes and condominiums. The Resort Property Market is his passion. Mike brings many diverse talents and educational experiences to his clients. Mike has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Indiana University. He also has a Bachelor of Science degree from Tri State University in Business Education and Computers. Mike continues to rank as one of the area's top agents. Year in and year out he's gained numerous awards from both the Century 21 and Re/Max organizations. With his strong background in accounting and finance, Mike can provide the potential homeowner or investor with very precise, numbers oriented advise. He can help his clients make an informed and educated investment decision. In addition to "just" selling real estate, Mike personally owns several different beach front condominiums that he maintains. He personally oversees every aspect of ownership, from the rentals, to management and occasionally buying and selling those units. Mike enjoys many interests and hobbies. They include spending quality time with family and friends, travel, sports and volunteering at his daughters school and church. He also really enjoys the many spectacular attractions the Gulf Shores area has to offer; such as the sugar white sand beaches, swimming , and dining out at the many popular restaurants.
