About Michael

Michael and Susan Hoy - “The Hoy Team” have been recipients of the coveted “Golden Eagle Award” in 2007, 2008, and recently 2017. This award recognizes the “Top 10 Producers” for Slifer Smith and Frampton Real Estate. They have both earned the GRI designation and are both members of the National Association of Realtors, the Colorado Association of Realtors, and the Vail Board of Realtors.
Michael was born and raised in Catskill, N.Y., and has been living in Colorado since 1975. With his extensive ski industry background, he came to the Vail Valley in 1989 as Director of the Arrowhead Ski School. Michael continues to teach skiing part-time with many of his clients becoming second homeowners in the Vail Valley. He is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of Vail Valley's real estate market.
Susan was born and raised in California, moving to Colorado in 1995. She worked as an escrow officer, closing multi-million-dollar real estate transactions in the Los Angeles area. In 1996, Susan worked for Slifer Smith and Frampton Real Estate as a coordinator of the homesite selection process for the pre-development phase of Bachelor Gulch Village. With the successful sellout of Bachelor Gulch, she met her future employer, Vail Resorts Development. She continued for eight years as Membership Director for Vail Resorts collection of private clubs. In 2006, Susan teamed up with Michael, as a broker associate at Slifer Smith and Frampton Real Estate.
