About Michael

Michael Kotler has long served as the backbone of Douglas Elliman’s successful corporate relocation and residential sales/rental team, The Kotler Group. As manager of the group, which provides clients’ corporate relocation services throughout the tri-state region, Michael handles the gamut of daily operations that range from client inquiries to matching brokers to business clients, to managing all transactions. Besides heading the business, he also deals with a select corporate clientele in a brokerage capacity.

Michael and his expert team are proud to offer their clients of Fortune 500 companies the expertise of “Destination Services,” which is a specialty tri-state consulting service for real estate sales and rentals throughout the entire New York, New Jersey and Connecticut region.

Originally from Livingston, NJ, Michael learned the various facets of construction, development and real estate early on from his father, a prominent Manhattan developer.

He first worked in the field during high school. After studying at Arizona State University, Michael returned to New York and honed his marketing skills at Philip Morris. In 1997, he decided real estate was his true calling, so he started The Kotler Group at Douglas Elliman with his brother Stephen Kotler, now an executive director with the company. His seasoned experience and extensive knowledge of the unique Manhattan marketplace have lent to the fine work executive by The Kotler Group team over the years.
