About Michael

Michael founded Insight Realty Group in July of 1998 about 35 years after his parents emigrated here from Europe. His father is from Ireland and his mother is from Austria. Michael realized at a very young age the value of hard work from his parents who wanted a better life for their family. The lessons he learned are a guiding principle for his vision and passion for Insight Realty Group.

His real estate career began at the young age of twenty years old while studying at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. In 1993, he was awarded an internship at North Atlantic Real Estate Appraising and Consulting. While learning the real estate trade from North Atlantic’s Principals, he developed a special talent for the critical analysis and complex valuation of real estate. After graduating from the University of Massachusetts, he decided to forgo a career in law and started working as both a real estate appraiser and salesperson. At the age of twenty-one, he was hired by Appraisals Unlimited in Brookline as an independent fee appraiser and also started working for Coldwell Banker as a real estate salesperson. Merging both the real estate brokerage and appraisals fields together, he became one of Coldwell Banker’s top tier agents winning numerous sales awards while simultaneously developing into Appraisal Unlimited’s top producing appraiser. By 1998, Michael was ready to open his own company and later that year formed Insight Realty Group, Inc (a full-service real estate brokerage firm).

Since 1993, he has sold and appraised over 3,000 properties with a value of over half a billion dollars. He was ranked by Boston Magazine as a top ten power broker in all of Boston.

For the 2020 year-end, Insight Realty Group was ranked the #1 office for total sales, listings taken, the number of units sold, and total dollar volume in the entire Roslindale & West Roxbury market! They sold more than $100,000,000 in the Parkway area for 2020!
