As the President and Founder of The Michael Scavo Group, Michael’s mission is to connect clients with their dream homes while guiding them through Chicago’s most iconic downtown neighborhoods. Although he grew up in the northwestern suburbs, Michael has called downtown Chicago home for years. Now living in Lincoln Park, he loves everything about his neighborhood — from the walkability and incredible restaurants to its effortless access to the rest of the city.

A luxury agent with deep roots in the market, Michael has been actively involved in real estate since he was eighteen years old, beginning his career during his freshman year at DePaul University. What started as a part-time job quickly accelerated into a full-time passion: Michael became a licensed real estate broker at twenty-one and earned his managing broker license at twenty-three, making him one of the youngest managing brokers in Chicago. His early start, extensive knowledge, and approachable style help clients feel both confident and at ease throughout the buying, selling, and leasing process.

Michael’s impact extends far beyond traditional real estate. With over 300,000 collective followers across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, he has built one of the largest digital audiences of any Chicago real estate professional. His social media presence has led to features in CNN and Chicago REALTOR Magazine, positioning him as a leading voice in the industry. He is also one of the most-followed real estate TikTokers in Chicago, using his platform to educate clients in an engaging, lighthearted, and highly accessible way.

With more than 1,500 career closed transactions, Michael is recognized as a top-producing agent year after year. He has been inducted into the Compass Chicago Legends Society for four consecutive years, an honor reserved for agents at the highest level of production. Additionally, Michael has consistently ranked within the top five Compass Chicago agents for rental transactions. He has also been named to Chicago Agent Magazine’s Who’s Who in Real Estate for three consecutive years.

In 2023, Michael was the number one broker at Onni Fulton Market, closing an impressive 26 deals in the development’s first six months—a testament to his market expertise, negotiation skills, and ability to move inventory quickly.

Despite his accomplishments, one of Michael’s favorite parts of his work remains helping clients find their dream apartments. As he puts it, “Nothing beats seeing the excitement on their faces when they’ve found their new home after a long day of apartment hunting.
