I am a native of Madison, WI and began visiting Door County as a very young boy, starting by camping at Peninsula State Park with my family. I also worked during the summer of my high school years: taught sailing at South Shore Pier in Ephraim, worked at Wilson's, and the Liberty Park Lodge in Sister Bay.
After high school I moved to Arizona to attend college. In 1978 I obtained my Arizona Real Estate license and worked for the largest real estate company in metro Phoenix. I met my wife, Janice in Scottsdale, and we moved our family to Tucson in 1984 to open and operate four restaurants and a catering company. In 1991 I obtained my Arizona Real Estate Brokers which I still have active today.
While our children were young they all attended summer camp in Northern Wisconsin as well as spending summers in Door County at my parents' home in Sister Bay
We sold our restaurant and catering company, with nearly 400 employees, in 1999. In 2004 we purchased an historic log house and farm in Ellison Bay and that same year opened the Savory Spoon Cooking School. In 2007 we purchased the original school house in Ellison Bay and moved the cooking school there. We will be celebrating our 16th year this summer.
I am very excited to enter the Door County Real estate market and will focus my primary attention on the northern part of the county. Over the past 15 years I have developed a large network of friends and associates and look forward to putting my years of experience to work for you. I pride myself on my negotiating skills that give my clients a clear advantage, whether buying or selling a home or business.
