About Michelle

I am a native of Ocala and have been here for over 40 years. After attending college in Gainesville, Florida and in Birmingham, Alabama, I returned to Ocala to start my family. I have two boys that are now grown adults that went to school and were raised here in Ocala. We were very involved in the local youth sports with them while growing up. I love to play tennis, bike ride, rollerblade, and walk in many of our local parks that Ocala has to offer. I enjoy being around people and because of that I have chosen to work in the customer service industry for many years; I started my career by working in new construction. When I rejoined the workforce after raising my family, real estate was such a perfect fit. I have worked with buyers, sellers, and investors. Whether you are selling or buying, real estate is a process and a journey; and because of that I get to know my customers really well and most importantly I get to build relationships one home at a time.

As an out of town buyer with very limited time and knowledge of the local market, my first search was to find an agent who was on top of the current market. Doing my initial research long distance and then after speaking with several candidates, I decided the best fit was Michelle Smith. It was an excellent selection, and I can recommend her without reservation - she did a great job! I had very little time there in Ocala and needed to close quickly. She was able to work through the process of offer, counter, etc. with professionalism and humor - important in tense/rushed negotiations. Her focus and local knowledge/connections allowed me to close my purchase in a very short period of time, one she indicated was a record for the shortest close in her career. In tense and high pressure times people do tend to show their true character, and throughout this period Michelle was calm, cheerful, and helpful without letting off the pace.
