Mikal Apenes

The personal service Mikal provides is the hallmark of his reputation. His integrity and unparalleled negotiating skills give his clients exceptional representation. Mikal has a thorough knowledge of properties in the entire Portland Metropolitan area. His expertise allows him to effectively represent clients in all price ranges.

Prior to becoming a Realtor, Mikal worked as a lawyer. He received a BA in Philosophy from George Washington University and earned a law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law. Mikal’s legal background gives his clients an edge.

Mikal knows that he has been blessed and believes that it is extremely important to give back. He served four years as President of the Hillsdale Neighborhood Association, being named Volunteer of the Year for Hillsdale in 2015. He is also past President of the Norse Hall Association. Mikal also enjoys helping to cook the monthly community dinner at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church. The homemade pumpkin pies he bakes for the November dinner have become a huge hit.

When not helping his clients, Mikal spends his spare time with his wife, Kathy, twin sons, Jacob and Nicolai, and golden retrievers, Daisy, and Poppy.
