Michel J. Duvernay is a fully licensed real estate broker and Realtor in the state of Maine affiliated with Regency Realty Group. He has owned and managed rental properties in the Portland area since 1986. Mike currently owns and manages 25 units in the south Portland area which he services through his company Duvernay Properties, LLC. Mike served on the executive board of the Breakwater Condominium Association for many years, ending his tenure with two years as the board president. This experience put Mike in a unique position to be involved in all aspects of the management of the property including decisions regarding actual maintenance and fiscal matters of the property. Mike is presently on the Board of Directors of the Southern Maine Landlord Association.(SMLA) SMLA is an organization committed to safe and responsible property management practices. Mike is also a past Director and current member of the Maine Apartment Owners and Managers Association (MAOMA), which functions at the State level influencing Maine's landlord-tenant laws. This exposure to landlord-tenant laws and activity places Mike in a position to be well informed and remain current on the landlord-tenant law and property management techniques in the state of Maine. Mike currently serves on the board of directors of the South Portland Development Corp, a non-profit organization which owns the subsidized housing in South Portland that is managed by the South Portland Housing Authority. He also sits on the South Portland Affordable Housing Committee , whose mission is to encurage more affordable housing availability in South Portland.
