She has built more than a career in real estate in North Idaho. Her profession began years prior to working as an Associate Broker/Sales Associate; it began as a youth growing up in the Sandpoint area. As a true native and seasoned agent, she preserves the unique role of knowing the ins and outs of Bonner County and the people who share with her the ability to call Sandpoint "home." She knows the locals, the businesses and has the insider's perspective that can prove to be an asset to the family that relocates here as well as the people who already reside in Sandpoint. After receiving her license as a sales associate in 1988, she soon pursued her education to become an Associate Broker. Her other designations include Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Residential Construction Certified (RCC) and Accredited Buyer Representation (ABR) designation. Over the years, she has built a strong clientele that she refers to as "friends" and continue to strive for excellence in her profession. She has expertise flowing into all areas of real estate including residential property (to include new construction), waterfront, farm/ranch homesteads and unimproved property. Whether showing property by snowshoe or assisting clients with floor plans and material choices, she enjoys it all. Her strengths include the knowledge she has obtained as a life-long resident and her understanding of our local market and the properties within it. She also strives to establish a real connection with her customers. She knows that achievement comes from relationships and not the bottom line. Her husband, Michael Kinney (owner and founder of Kinney Construction), relocated to Sandpoint from Alaska in 1992 and has remained one of the area’s most reputable builders. Together, they often work as a team to establish quality homes in the Sandpoint area. Being married to a builder has resulted in her family moving 7 times since 1997! It is safe to say that she has been on "both sides of the fence." She raised her daughter in the community where she grew up and was happy to have passed on the nostalgic, small hometown experience to her that she fondly remembered from her childhood. When she was not working, you would find her enjoying the different seasons of Sandpoint…on the lake, on her mountain bike, skate skiing, classic and/or alpine skiing or (literally) "horsing around" with her daughter. She knew her community and understood the needs of those looking to buy and sell in Sandpoint. She actively strove to make the buying/selling experience of her clients as smooth as possible by assisting every step of the way.
