We met Molly through family who had just moved back to the Bay. We told her we were easing into the idea of buying a home out here, and she totally respected that. No pressure, no sales pitch—just super helpful from the beginning.

We’ve owned homes in Atlanta, which was a much easier, less competitive market. Buying in California is a completely different beast, but Molly made sure we understood exactly what we were getting into. She knows this market inside and out, and she always gave it to us straight—what to watch out for, what to walk away from, and what was actually worth pursuing.

We were very picky, and she never once made us feel like we were being difficult. She was incredibly responsive, always on top of things, and just a steady, honest presence through the whole process. We never felt rushed or pushed—she always had our back.

We ended up buying our dream home in Upper Rockridge, and we couldn't be happier. Molly was a dream to work with, and we’ll 100% go back to her for anything in the future or refer her to anyone looking in the Bay.

My brothers and I are thrilled with Molly Smith, who recently sold my mom's house in Orinda for 28% above the listing price. Molly worked diligently for five months to prepare the house for sale. Molly arranged for all inspections to be completed early. Molly coordinated an incredible team of tradespeople: painters, tree contractors, handymen, carpenters, and flooring specialists. Her stager, stylist, photographer, videographer, and website designer showcased the property beautifully. I was particularly impressed with Molly during our first interview, as she didn't inflate the likely listing price to please us. Additionally, she promptly provided us with a preliminary title report, unlike other candidates who put us off. Molly gave us invaluable assistance sorting through the ten offers we received. Once we were under contract, she kept us informed daily about the progress. Our escrow closed on time, thanks to her. Molly did an exceptional job for us.

Molly is just an absolute pro, and I can't recommend her enough. We made a long distance move to Orinda, but she made it really easy to find our forever home. She was in constant communication with us, sent us both on and off market listings, and was patient and knowledgable while answering all of our questions. On our first trip out to look at homes, she arranged many solid options in advance, and we ended up buying our dream home after just one day of viewings. This is a competitive market, and Molly's expertise is ultimately what got us in. No one knows the nuances better than she does, and I strongly recommend working with her. If your goal is to move to Lamorinda then Molly Smith is the move you need to make. My wife and I are beyond thrilled with our new home and Molly was a great partner throughout the process. In today’s market there are a few things that differentiate agents (in our opinion): nuanced local knowledge, deal intel/knowledge, and tailored advice / guidance - these are the three areas where Molly excels and her friendly, relatable and accessible demeanor is a great bonus. Molly is a tremendous source of local knowledge (she grew up in Orinda, raised her kids in Orinda) which pays dividends in her local connections and her ability to advise you on the nuances of different micro-neighborhoods and property styles so that you can find the right fit for your needs. She is extremely active in the local real estate market which puts her (and you) in a position to have deal knowledge on much of the activity happening in the market. While she is highly active/connected she is also very accessible and responsive - a balance that is hard for others to achieve. She takes the time to understand you and your family’s unique desires and crafts her guidance to suit your needs. She’s patient, never pushy and truly feels like an advocate throughout the process. Molly is the genuine article and we highly recommend her.

Molly helped my wife and I buy our first home in Orinda in May 2022. In a market that was very challenging for buyers, Molly went above and beyond to try to help us secure any edge. She managed to get us in to see many of the houses we offered on early, which was crucial for us given that houses were going from listed to sold in under a week. Despite the heavy seller's market, Molly didn't pressure us on any of our offers and was restrained with her advice on the prices we should offer. After losing out on a handful of houses, we felt that we still got good value in the house we ultimately bought.

I don't know that I can gush about Molly enough! Molly helped us during a pretty stressful time, moving to Orinda from San Francisco, and there were a lot of moving pieces to the process. Molly was exceptional. From my first phone call to her, she exuded knowledge of the area and individual neighborhoods and was very well versed and familiar with all the homes available in our range. I've been lucky enough to have Molly as my real estate agent for the purchase and sale of my last two homes.

When you're buying a home in an area that you may not know very well, its imperative that you choose an agent that knows the market. Not only did Molly grow up here but she knows just about every agent - and everyone admires and respects her. She will tell you what to expect and she'll be right. Every time.

In 2015 my family expanded and we needed a bigger place. We searched for months for the right place and we now live in our dream home. It took INTENSE negotiations and hurdles to overcome, but she got us there and made sure I knew what was happening every step of the way.

I don't know what happens exactly behind the scenes for her, but in a multiple bid situation (which most are in Lamorinda) she has the gift of remaining calm, setting realistic expectations and getting the job done.
