Meet Mony:
Mony Nop is a survivor of the Killing Fields of Cambodia. He escaped by walking to Thailand at age 6 and lived in several refugee camps before finally immigrating to the U.S. and settled in Stockton, California in 1983. He is a proud father of two young men, a grandpa of a four-year-old boy, and married to his wife and Realtor, Sophie. With a passion for service, Mony became a Livermore police officer and served the city for 17 years. Mony holds a B.A. in Business Management from St. Mary’s College and is a certified John Maxwell Leadership Trainer, the current President’s Scholars Program Coordinator at Las Positas College and a Board Member at Caring for Cambodia, an international nonprofit providing education to 7000 students in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Mony is also a children's book author and the past Vice President and Co-Founder of Tri-Valley Nonprofit Alliance, an organization dedicated to bringing the nonprofit community together while they strive to complete their missions.
