Neil and Russell co-founded RK Investments Charlotte, LLC in 2005. The portfolio of investments now includes hotels, residential lots, raw land and Class A apartments.

Neil began his career at the Charlotte, North Carolina based law firm of Parker, Poe, Adams & Bernstein LLP where he counseled individual and institutional clients in all facets of real estate development, acquisition, sales, leasing, and financing. Neil left Parker Poe at the end of 2002 after becoming the firm’s youngest partner in 1999 to pursue a real estate career full time. Neil worked with Faison & Associates as Managing Director from 2003-2014 and oversaw the firm’s residential lot development program developing approximately 1,000 residential lots and a 312 unit Class A apartment project in Mooresville, NC taking all projects from land acquisition to disposition.

Neil was the development partner overseeing the design, development, bidding and construction for the 142 room Hampton Inn & Suites in Carrboro, NC which was named 2013 Development of the Year for Hampton Inn’s through the America’s. This vertically mixed-use construction project includes 500 structured parking spaces and 18,000 square feet of retail completed and transferred to the original land owner under a condominium structure.

Neil received his Bachelor of Arts cum laude from Duke University in 1991 and his Juris Doctor from The University of Virginia School of Law in 1994. Neil resides in Charlotte and is married (since 1993) and the father of two daughters.
