My Real Estate Career in Hawaii started in 1990 just before the drop in the value of the Japanese Yen affected the Hawaii Home sales market. Since then, we have had many cycles in the residential home sales market place. The latest of those dips in prices was in 2008 when we had the "Mortgage Meltdown"event triggered many homeowners losing their hard earned equity and ownership status.
Over the history of the MLS in hawaii Properties in Hawaii have generally doubled in value over a 10 to 11 year period of time. A home purchase is definitely a long term investment.
Over my 28 year career, I have sold many million of dollars in home value. I have represented Investors, 1st time home buyers, and Home sales of many different price points in many locations on this island. I am most happy and have a great feeling of accomplishment when I have helped Buyer's or Sellers to find the solution to their home needs by negotiating a sale/purchase where the meeting of the minds results in each party getting out of the contract the best solution for their personal needs.
I love working with Seller's to get the highest best price for their property by using Market analysis, Marketing strategy, advertising, Open house launches, Decluttering and Staging and setting the price at the best price point for that property. This avoids the property sitting on the market and needing to have price reductions.
I love working with Buyers to help them make their dreams into reality. To find the home that best fits their needs parameters, and pocket book.
My background as a loan officer also helps me to explain the process to Buyers and Sellers so everyone feels comfortable as the transaction progresses through the timeline to closing and transfer of the Keys to the property.
I came to Hawaii in 1985 as a single parent and am thankful for my Real Estate Career that has helped me survive and raise 2 successful children in this island where so many have difficulty even imagining surviving the high cost of living. I am thankful to God who has sustained me and seen me through Good times and bad to bring me to this time in my life. I am thankful to all of my wonderful clients through the years and who have been friends supporters in my career.
