I’ve known Paddy for 8 years. We hired him for three real estate transactions. Because of his knowledge and ethics, he kept us from making a horrible mistake, and for this I’m forever grateful. We have greatly benefitted from his expert advice. He really has his finger on the pulse of Lamorinda.

So when we finally sold our rental, I was thrilled to have Paddy represent us. He got us the top price for that area. He was on top of the whole process and communicated just about every detail.

My husband and I feel very lucky to have met Paddy and to have his help in navigating all things real estate. After patiently working with us for over a year, Paddy helped us purchase a new home in Lafayette which we are so excited about. He quickly earned our complete trust - he is very honest with his feedback and it was clear he was not just trying to get us into just any house but one that we'd be truly happy in. There were many properties we were interested in where Paddy would respectfully point out considerations - i.e. might not be best location for kids, might have issues with steep hill in backyard, might be straying away from criteria etc. - and looking back i'm so glad he kept us focused on what we were hoping for. I also love that Paddy is extremely familiar with building and remodeling - it was great to discuss ideas and potential for each of the homes we saw. I think back to a time he helped us crunch pretty detailed numbers on the cost to remodel a property we were considering making an offer on - that was so much work for a house we didn't even get but he was so generous with his time. We can't thank Paddy enough for all the hard work he did for us. Buying a home is stressful. It was not our first home purchase, but it was our first home purchase together as a couple. We didn't realize how our taste and needs differed from one another. She likes things that have "character" - in her words - and I prefer a more modern design and amenities. That coupled with the low inventory and rising rates made the experience challenging. In the end, Paddy did find us the right home. We're very pleased.

We had a great experience working with Eric Larson on the Paddy Kehoe team to buy our place. Our search parameters were fairly broad and locations beyond the core Lamorinda area. Eric was patient and accommodating with our broad focus and shared new listings, and provided prompt feedback on places of interest and that we had visited. He was diligent about pulling disclosures and connecting with selling agents to gauge level of interest and strategize on potential approaches based on interest and specific location / market.

On places we became more serious about, he provided meaningful comps and added his own color. Eric was patient, helped us prioritize, and didn't pressure us. We had gotten close to pulling the trigger on putting forth an offer for a few places, so Eric's guidance and process was very helpful in our decision making. Eric was spot on in terms of pricing guidance and offer details on the place we eventually made an offer on and purchased. Highly recommend Paddy Kehoe and Team at Compass! We used them to purchase our first home and more recently for our forever home. This time the sellers were a bit more challenging but Brittany took the time to manage expectations and was in constant communication between their agent and our lender. She is beyond responsive, even after we moved in to ensure that the transition went smoothly. We are so appreciative of her professionalism and attention to our asks!

We also sold our house that we purchased 5 years ago with Paddy. Since then we used his thoughtful expertise to make certain improvements to the home over the years that added tremendous value. We had some unique circumstances when selling that Paddy was able to sort out timely. His staging team also did a phenomenal job and quickly too. Compass has a concierge service to front the costs for presale improvements with no interest or fees so it's hassle free. It just gets deducted from proceeds of the home afterwards. There was a very clear timeline of all the events from improvements, cleaning, photography, marketing etc. Communication was clear and would go through them again in a heartbeat. Most importantly, they are trustworthy and really in touch with their clients' needs.

Thanks to Paddy Kehoe and his amazing team, we bought a fantastic home in a highly competitive market and sold the home we were moving out of for top dollar.

Eric Larson helped us to find the perfect home in Lafayette. In a competitive and fast-paced market, Eric was always friendly, patient, very thorough and never pushy. He is knowledgeable about the Lamorinda area, matching our needs to the right neighborhoods and homes to view. After seeing a home, Eric always took the time to engage in a conversation about the property to understand our thoughts and share his own ideas and knowledge, and helped us carefully consider each home we viewed based on our needs and goals. As homes came on market, Eric always took into consideration what we did or did not want in previous homes, so our time was never wasted. He is very responsive, and made sure when he was out of town or not readily available, that we had a channel of communication set up with his team who we could go to. There was zero pressure to bid on a home or push back on any of our decisions to not make a bid. However, if he had some knowledge of a home going way over our budget, he made us aware so we could move on.

Even though Eric was the primary agent on the Paddy Kehoe team that we worked with as Buyers, the extended team were all great contributors to help us secure our new home. Paddy introduced us to an amazing Mortgage Broker, a true master in communication and follow-up, who worked with us early on to make sure we could move fast when we had an offer accepted. Eric and our mortgage broker were a great team, making sure any of our offers were thorough and that our loan approval was seamless. In this market, Buyers need someone fast but thorough to find a new home and put in a successful offer, and Eric definitely meets those needs.

We continued to use Paddy Kehoe and his team as Sellers. As we were occupied with moving into our new home, we easily put our confidence in Paddy and Brittany to fully manage the preparation of our home to sell. They scheduled all the inspections, counseled us about what work would be most impactful for sale, but were also very respectful of our decisions if there was something we didn’t want to do. The communication across the team (Paddy, Brittany, Michelle) were always aligned, they were all very responsive when we had questions and provided timely reminders if there was action required on our part. Paddy has a great understanding of the market, where to price our home, and thus we received several outstanding offers, many above what we were asking for.

Even now that we have settled into our new home, and have closed the sale on our previous home, Paddy continues to support us in our new community in Lafayette, whether it's greeting us in the neighborhood or at school events, or in sharing recommendations for home projects. It's not heard of that a house can be sold in so little time. But with Paddy, that's what we experienced.. Not only did he do everything he could as our realtor, but also he went above and beyond to help us to make our house extremely presentable for the open house. For example, one afternoon he used his pickup truck to buy wood chips then delivered it to my house, after that he helped with what my gardener didn't even want to do under the scorching sun, laying the wood chips down all the tough spots where weren't previously covered. My family got to know Paddy 5 years ago when he helped us to buy our wonderful homestead in Moraga, and after that he didn't just drift away. Working with Paddy and his team was an absolute pleasure. Buying a house is one of the most stressful things one can subject themselves to and Paddy helped keep me calm during the buying process. That said, no home is perfect but he will help you understand the tradeoffs and long-term value of a home based on the construction, location, finishes, repair needs, and your general sentiment as he gets to really understand what you find important in a new home. Whether you're moving across town or across the country, selling or buying, Paddy Kehoe is the realtor that you want to represent you. We contracted with him to sell our home in Lafayette in the midst of a pandemic yet his confidence, professionalism and knowledge made no obstacle insurmountable.

His enthusiasm was the first thing that impressed us but that was only the beginning. His vision about the potential and possibilities for our home and future buyers instilled confidence that he knew the market, the process and what it would take to sell our home at the best possible price.

We've had the pleasure of working with Paddy twice now. The first was in 2011 when he helped us buy a beautiful home in Walnut Creek, the second time was in 2019 when he helped us sell that same home when we were moving.

Working with Paddy as a buyer we found him very hard-working and patient. We looked at dozens of homes over months (we were picky), and Paddy never pressured us during the process. We were able to take our time and choose a home we really loved.

The decision to sell the home when we were moving away from the area was a hard one, and Paddy initially urged us to consider not selling, even though that would mean him losing out on the business opportunity. Once we decided that selling was the right decision, Paddy did quite a bit of research to price the home just right, urging us not to over-price the property at risk of turning away buyers. He also organized painting the property, fixing up the yard, and staging everything. The house really showed well when he had it ready.

The first weekend of open houses we received 6 offers, 2 of them at $100K over asking. He walked us through the offers and the merits of each, we chose one, and 30 days later we closed without any issues.

I'd rate Paddy 6 stars if I could and would work with him again in a heartbeat. He's honest, patient, and super knowledgable.

Back in August, 2019, my husband and I hired Paddy Kehoe to handle the sale of our home in Lafayette, California. We chose Paddy in part because of the great reviews, but it was meeting him in person that really convinced us. He's one of the nicest and most competent people you would hope to take care of something this important. It turned out that we were right: hiring Paddy was one of the best decisions we ever made. Our situation was a bit challenging: we needed Paddy to handle everything about the house sale while we were out of the country, since we had moved to Amsterdam (Netherlands). In fact, when we met Paddy, we had returned to California for a few days to pack up our house and ship a few things back to Amsterdam. From that point on, Paddy took care of everything. We didn't want to put the house on the market until the following spring, since our (adult) daughter was staying there, and of course, we had no idea that a major pandemic would turn the world upside down in the interim. By the time our daughter had moved out, the shelter-in-place had started, and we were worried about not being able to sell. But Paddy pulled it off, and he got us a great price. Throughout, Paddy was totally accessible, promptly returning emails and phone calls. He cared about our home sale as if it were his own. We can't recommend him highly enough. He's awesome!

Paddy was incredible. He offered sound advice on the necessary clean up and renovation. He patiently assisted a family member in locating and moving to a new residence. He found and managed various contractors, planted flowers, loaned out his truck for Home Depot runs, and watered. His marketing plan and brochures were thorough and professional. He staged the home and conducted numerous open houses. He was always available to talk and kept us posted throughout the process. Paddy is a superstar! I am a licensed real estate broker, but chose to have Paddy list my home in Lafayette due to it being a non-standard property. Paddy is super-responsive, very knowledgeable about Lafayette real estate, helpful, smart, a good negotiator and a valuable resource.

Paddy and Claudia delivered top notch service in the sale of our house in Orinda in 2015. We'd be delighted to work with them again. Most real estate agents will be pretty responsive, and have a gut sense of the local market. Paddy stood out by having an exhaustive spreadsheet of all comps on the market, and how elements from each sale applied to our house. This maximized the chances for what we, and most people, want: a quick process to get a good price. They were a delight to work with and would do again in a heartbeat!
