Patrick Bucko has spent nearly thirty years creating memorable impressions in the restaurant business. Born in Sarasota, Florida and raised on her barrier islands, Bucko got his first taste of the culinary industry at age 15, cooking on the line in Longboat Key’s famed locals joint, The Pub. From there, Bucko worked in various positions in local restaurants and at age 17 landed his first job in the front of the house. “I really loved interacting with customers and felt I had the organization and drive to handle the operations side of things, so I made a change and left the kitchen.” he fondly recalls.
Since 1993 Bucko has held server, bartender and manager posts at several Sarasota landmark establishments including Zagat-rated Euphemia Haye, Horse Feathers Grill & Lounge and Cork & Bottleshop Restaurants on upscale St. Armand’s Circle. In 2009, he accepted a job offer from the Sean Murphy Group at award-winning Beach Bistro, and assisted with the openings of Murphy’s Eat Here restaurants.
The last 10 years Bucko has been working as Lead Consultant for SRQ Restaurant Consulting Services. He has specialized in New Restaurant Design and Restaurant Concept, working with both national corporate chains as well as high end independent clients in the food service industry.
In September 2012, Bucko joined the Jack Dusty team as SRQ Consulting Services Lead Consultant and Restaurant General Manager. Bucko’s responsibilities include overseeing culinary operations, Menu Development, Wine List, FOH Training, Food Cost and Labor Cost for the new Fine Dining Restaurant, Lounge and Market Place.
Former Owner of West Coast Florida Building Inspections Bucko has performed over 200 Commercial and Residential Building Inspections. Bucko has held past membership and association with the following:
National Association of Home Inspectors (NAHI), Florida Association of Building Inspectors (FABI) , Home Inspectors Association of Florida (HIAF).
