About Patrick
With his rigorous corporate and hospitality background, Patrick MacCartee brings an elevated level of analytical and customer focus to real estate development and management. He is intent on delivering clients’ peace of mind and is thrilled to have that opportunity in the Oakland housing market.
Patrick’s passion for real estate began when he purchased a tenancy in common (TIC) property in 2007. He immediately understood the power of a knowledgeable and skilled agent to successfully navigate high-priced transactions while leaving him with confidence and peace of mind. After converting his TIC to a property, Patrick further learned that it is not always a renovation but entitlements, financing, and a property’s creative uses that can bolster its maximum value. Patrick’s skills extend to general contracting, installation, and interior and landscape design. Project management-certified, he can transform a property in no time, find the right talent to fulfill a need, and adhere to a schedule like glue.
Patrick has a bachelor’s degree in finance, another in supply chain management, and an MBA in product marketing. Before launching his real estate career, Patrick founded Tank18, an urban winery, and spent several years resurrecting struggling restaurants by revitalizing their customer experience and corporate operations. With a hospitality background steeped in top-notch customer service, clients can rest assured that Patrick will always prioritize effective communication. Additionally, the advanced operational execution skills he gained as a restauranteur have helped refine Patrick’s expertise in go-to-market strategies, pricing, negotiations, and public relations.
Originally from Southern California, Patrick moved to San Francisco in 1998 before settling in Oakland in 2015. When he is not enjoying California’s optimal weather, he likes escaping to other warm locales like Mexico to indulge in their beautiful hospitality, rich heritage, and delicious cuisine.
