Paul always knew he would end up living on the coast of North Carolina. Born in Durham, his family would often head over to the coast where he quickly fell in love with the ocean. When Paul’s grandfather moved to Wilmington, the visits to the area increased which, unbeknownst to him, laid the foundation for what would eventually be home. Paul has always loved being around people, helping people, and doing everything he can to put a smile on someone’s face. After stints in Nashville, where he met his wife, Beth, and Chesapeake, Virginia, the call to return to North Carolina could not be ignored. They relocated to Charlotte, which will always be a huge part of their story, as both of their boys, Noah and Jakob, were born there.
Paul’s Real Estate career actually started while being a Middle School math teacher. Having the ability to communicate with people from all walks of life, building relationships, and helping students and families write their stories go hand in hand with Real Estate. Buying and selling a few homes over the years and enjoying that process, the highs, the lows, and eventual joy, his mind was churning. He thought it would be fun to help walk people through that same process! After a few conversations with teachers who were also selling homes, all while using the skills they learned in the classroom, Paul made the decision to get his Real Estate license. All the while, the ocean was calling, and Paul found himself in Wrightsville Beach more and more. Eventually, they gave into that calling, packed everything up, and moved to Wilmington to start a new adventure!
Being able to play a small part in helping people write new chapters in their stories, seeing the joy on their face as they move into their new home near the ocean is what Paul loves about being a Real Estate agent in Wilmington. He knows first hand what it feels like to “go for it”, and wants to help others with that same adventure! The look on their faces as they stare out at the beautiful water, toes in the sand, and the permanent smile makes all the hard work worth it.
