Peggy Slaughter

Peggy is an Iowa City native who spent nearly 20 years in commercial real estate. She specialized in commercial construction sales with an emphasis on general construction, design-build, turn-key, build-to-suit, and construction management. After graduating from the University of Iowa and Kirkwood Community College, Peggy began her career working with a development company before moving into commercial construction. Throughout her career, she managed between $12 million and $30 million in projects at any given time.

Beyond her professional work, Peggy dedicated time to serving on boards for various community programs, consulting and raising funds for their fundraising and space needs. Peggy is now retired and enjoys focusing on personal pursuits while continuing to support her community in meaningful ways.
