Pete Carney

Peter H. Carney started his career as a tax specialist for Peat Marwick. He then became Deputy Counsel & Director of Financial Administration for the office of the Treasurer of Massachusetts. In 1994, he founded Carney Legal Group P.A. with his brother, Thomas F. Carney, Jr., and a year later they formed a title insurance company (Crystal Title & Escrow Co., Inc). As indicated above, together, Peter and Thomas formed Carney Mortgage & Finance Co., Inc. and, shortly Carney Select Properties, Inc., a licensed Florida Real Estate brokerage company.
Peter Carney returned to Florida in 1993, after serving in the Treasurer's Office of the State of Massachusetts , and joined the Board of Directors of County National Bank of South Florida, which operated branches in Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.
