Peter Gumas

Peter Gumas has a passion for NYC and a passion for NYC real estate. A native New Yorker, Peter has lived most of his life in Greenwich Village. He attended NYU, at both their undergrad and graduate business schools and has been buying and selling apartments going back to when the Meat Packing District still sold meat, and the Bowery was less than cool. He specializes in focusing on his client’s individual needs, wishes, and finances and strives to provide an unmatched experience that is fun, fulfilling and financially beneficial.
Peter has a quick wit, creative eye, analytical mind and a good soul that truly enjoys helping others. However, when it suits the best interest of his clients, he can negotiate with an iron fist in a velvet glove.
Peter prides himself on his integrity, sincerity and empathy. Listening first, and then analyzing the market with custom filters to tirelessly deliver for his clients. Peter has the tenacity and vision to dig deep and uncover the best apartment to match the needs of his clients where others may fall short. He will leave no stone unturned and use the requests and requirements of his clients as the barometer for finding THE apartment that matches the home of their dreams.
Prior to joining Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New York Properties, Peter developed a strong reputation as a marketing guru building many household brands like Bayer, Planters and Citi. He played a key role in making the NBA a global brand and has been strategically implementing successful marketing plans for his entire adult life. He is now leveraging these skills to write great marketing plans to help his clients sell their apartments for maximum return.
Peter’s hobbies include construction and design. He has directly designed and installed several kitchens and bathrooms and has re-designed several apartments. An avid runner, he has completed several NYC Marathons. Peter speaks Greek fluently and Spanish marginally, but his best language is NY real estate.
