Phyllis has been an amazing realtor to work with. We started our search over a year before we planned to move out of Manhattan since we were not exactly sure what we wanted. We “dated” towns, house styles, house ages, and best of all realtors, including “Top Agents.” Phyllis is in a class of her own. We met Phyllis at one of the first open houses we attended. She was knowledgeable, honest, and someone you wanted to be around. (That house was on a major road and had a roundabout connection to the parkway for commuting.) Phyllis took down our interests and would send listings, but never any pressure. About a year later, we saw that Phyllis was the listing agent for a house on our list and we thought it was time for us to get serious in the process. Phyllis has deep expertise in the Bergen County luxury home market. She is patient, taking the time to understand what you are looking for; She will bring you in to see things that are not yet on the market. Phyllis would setup marathon house hunting days, since she knew it was a hassle for us to get out of Manhattan and find childcare. And when childcare fell through, she was more than accommodating. Phyllis would sometimes play with our toddler while we toured the houses and took our daughter on scavenger hunts for stuffed teddy bears. Phyllis would have us take notes between houses, rank, and talk them through to help her search for houses for us and also help us keep houses straight in our minds. While visiting houses, she always knew the questions to ask that novice home buyers wouldn’t have known to think of. When we found a house that we wanted to make an offer on, she would go into full research mode to find comparable homes and guide us on what is a fair offer. She led the negotiations which in our case were complicated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout the process from offer all the way to closing, we kept in touch constantly. She was involved in every step of the transaction, guiding us along the way. Everyone she recommended were top notch professionals and easy to work with. It was hard to believe that Phyllis had other clients at this time, but she would have an open house and/or a closing that she would be running to or from (I am pretty sure she doesn’t sleep.).
