Prema Subramaniam’s determination and drive has led her to become a leading Bay Area agent in less than two years. Originally from Malaysia, Prema was drawn to San Francisco’s top-rated schools and sense of community, and her passion for the area--and her clients--shines through in everything she does.

Having earned an LL.B from the University of London and an LL.M from Santa Clara University, Prema entered the real estate industry after a decade in the law profession, where she litigated and won a High Court real estate fraud case. Prema brings the skills she developed during her time in law to her work as an agent, giving her clients an advantage. In addition to her honed negotiation techniques and comprehensive contract knowledge, she possesses a unique perspective on the business and can provide valuable consultation regarding all aspects of the home buying process.

It is this commitment to educating and advising her clients that truly sets her apart. Prema’s interest in the industry sparked after buying her first home, so she knows what it is like to be in her clients’ shoes. Thus, her empathy and generosity put those she works with immediately at ease. Clients constantly note her diligence and sincerity, remarking that she takes the time to connect with and guide them as if they were part of her family.

With a genuine love for her work and clients, Prema was showing properties until three weeks before delivering her second child and started back up 30 days after. She has closed eighteen transactions since October 2017, amassing $18 million in sales--more than three times that of an average agent during their first year. This exceptional achievement led her to receive the Bay East Association’s Grand Master Achievement Award in 2018.

Prema places an emphasis on humanitarianism and believes in giving back to the community. A sponsor of several nonprofits in the area, Prema contributes 10% of all profits to philanthropies and donates $500 from each closed transaction to a charity of the client’s choice.

When Prema isn’t working, you can find her reading self-improvement books, volunteering for the temple fundraising events, and spending time with her husband and two children.
