About Rafael

Rafael Lara was born in Maryland and raised in Miami from the age of 3. He is of Cuban descent and enjoys helping buyers and sellers, as well as renters of South Florida commercial or residential properties, gain value and confidence in the wise investment decisions he inspires.

Rafael always makes people feel comfortable with his abilities and is a team player all the way, whether partnering with a customer in their quest for a dream home or with other brokers who find him a pleasure to work with. Before embarking on his real estate career, Rafael dedicated 15 years of his life to banking. Rafael worked for First Union that later became Wachovia/ Wells Fargo as well as SunTrust bank. Throughout his banking career, he took on many roles such as Customer Relations Manager, Licensed Financial Specialist, Loan Officer as well as Financial Center Manager. Rafael acquired the series 6, 63 life, health, and variable annuities licenses as well as many years of experience in lending and customer service.

Rafael is a graduate of Florida International University with a BA degree in International Business. He is Fluent in both English and Spanish and resides in South Miami. In his spare time, Rafael volunteers in his church, and Camillus house. He has three beautiful children with his wife of over 15 years.

Rafael’s former experience in sales, customer service, and the financial world solidifies his real estate career and gives him and his clients a definite edge when selling, renting, or buying real estate.
