The last nineteen were as a guidance counselor with a school system close to base, during which she also served with a support group for military children. Before locating to our Emerald Coast, Ramona lived in Arkansas until she relocated to Washington DC where she worked for a representative in Congress. Civil service seemed a natural offshoot for Ramona. Her father served the state legislature and Ramona worked with him for a time. Her brother is a Colonel in the Air Force. His wife, also active military with the Air Force, is often deployed. Ramona became well versed in the demands of military life during these times when she assists them in the demands of military life while one or the other serves elsewhere.
