Randa is Canadian born. She was born and raised in Prince George, a small town in British Columbia 500 miles north of the border. Her mom was a skater and started Randa ice skating at age 7. You know you must be diligent to get up at 5 AM every day to get down to skating practice when the temperature is twenty below, and she still is! She was on her basketball, volleyball, and track and field teams in high school, and was actually selected for tryouts for the Canadian Junior Olympic Team. She could really move things along, and, hey, she still can! As time went by, her skating improved to the point she was Northern B.C. Skating Champion, so at age 18 she ventured out into the world to become a professional skater with the Ice Capades, Holiday on Ice, and Ice Follies, first as a Corps de Ballet skater and then as a featured comedian. Over 17 years, she toured the U.S., Mexico, Canada, and Europe. Being a touring skating pro is not a bed of roses. You need to master new precision routines quickly, cope with unexpected obstacles, show up on time, and no matter what happens. It is of like being a real estate agent! Randa has a 31-year-old son, Justin, who lives in Los Angeles and is also a real estate agent. A family dynasty in the making! Randa and her husband left the tour so Justin could attend the same school for longer than a two-week stand in New York City. Ronda has lived in Oakland since 1986 and knows the housing market in the area intimately as a result. She can be seen walking Dani, her rescue Collie mix, and Emmy, her rescue cattle-dog mix in all weathers to the amazement of the neighbors.
