About Richard
Richard Bridges is the Branch Manager of the Long & Foster Reston office, a role he stepped into in June 2026 after more than two decades building sales, coaching, and leadership experience across the Northern Virginia and DC Metro real estate market.
Richard began his real estate career in 2004, earning his license at age 18 and quickly becoming one of the youngest licensed real estate instructors in Virginia. He learned to sell through the 2008 market collapse, a period that sharpened his marketing and customer service skills and prepared him to lead through any market condition. At 23, he earned his Broker's License and built The Bridges Team, which went on to earn local and national recognition. He also was included as a top 50 finalist for the National Association of Realtors' 30 Under 30 award in 2014, and helped 120 families buy or sell homes across the DC Metro area in a single year.
That early success launched a leadership career spanning multiple brokerages. Richard served as Managing Broker of Weichert Realtors' Woodbridge office, where he cemented his reputation as a leader in Northern Virginia and began coaching and consulting other real estate professionals. He later joined Pearson Smith Realty to build an in-house Productivity and Coaching Program, and in 2021 launched Bridges Business Solutions to provide entrepreneurial coaching and consulting to agents and business owners. Most recently, as Director of Agent Development at Samson Properties, he elevated the company's coaching, training, technology, and recruiting programs for agents companywide.
Now leading the Long & Foster Reston office, Richard brings that full spectrum of experience, from top producing agent to brokerage leader to agent coach, to his branch, with a focus on developing agents and driving results.
Alongside his leadership role, Richard assists his oldest Son, Ethan, with serving his real estate network. This arrangement and word of mouth based business allows him to focus on what he does best: working as an industry leader supporting his agent family, along with all the families of those who trusted him with buying and selling homes over the years.
Richard lives in Ashburn, Virginia, with his wife Ashley and their four children, who remain his top priority. When he is not working, he can be found training in Jiu Jitsu, coaching wrestling, or playing paintball.
