Richard Wells

Wells Homes is owned and operated by Richard & Katie Wells who reside in the Park Cities. Richard has a 25+ years of knowledge and industry experience in custom home building. He learned his craft by growing up in the industry and being on job sites from an early age with his father. For more than five generations, Richard’s family has been in the commercial/residential construction and development industries in Dallas developing some of Dallas’ most iconic buildings.

After graduating from Texas Tech University, with a degree in Economics & Finance, Richard gained more industry experience working at Henry S. Miller Commercial Real Estate and then onto Westdale Asset Management where he served as the Director of Real Estate. Both experiences helped him further develop his construction knowledge. For the past decade, Richard utilized this knowledge working for two of the world’s largest property and support service companies. Richard was tasked with overseeing projects throughout the United States on numerous high-profile projects, from large corporate campuses such as: Exxon, Google, Phillips 66, and many others. To more local projects/campuses in the DFW Metroplex like SMU, DFW Airport, Samsung, and Fossil. During his career, Richard has led many multi-million-dollar projects and overseen teams with budgets in the $100’s of millions in annualized revenues and has been a part of over $500 million in real estate transactions.

In 2011, Richard was elated to start Wells Homes specializing in residential real estate construction, development, and brokerage. The team assembled is a highly skilled design-build team that is committed to achieving un-paralleled quality on your new home.
