We highly recommend Rick Allen. He helped us out tremendously during our recent purchase of our new home in McAllen. His help was critical because we were still living in Tennessee and doing everything remotely. He helped with various things that we would otherwise not have been able to without actually being there ourselves. We especially appreciated his responsiveness and advice throughout the entire process. Communication with him was easy and he never made us feel like we were bothering him or imposing on his personal time. If you’re looking for a super nice, professional and knowledgeable realtor then Rick Allen is your man. I can’t recommend him enough.

I’ve had many realtors, some good, some bad, but Rick is high and above the best. For starters, his communication skills and availability are far superior than any other realtor. Rick always answers a call/text, if not, that means he’s closing a deal on another property. Rick has great knowledge in real estate and pointed my family in the right direction every time. If you get added to his email list, you will know when houses are listed before any website like Zillow or Realtor.com. Rick’s market analysis of properties is one of his greatest assets as a realtor. From the initial consultation up to selling/moving in, Rick is very hands on in the buying/selling process. Rick gave us every update in the buying/selling process and left no questions unanswered. I highly recommend Rick Allen as RGV’s GO-TO realtor.

When it was time to sell my parents' home, my brother advised me to hire the best realtor in town. Since I do not live in the Valley, I searched the internet and liked the things I learned about Rick online, but working with him convinced me that he is THE BEST REALTOR, hands down!

He protects the interests of his clients. Rick went above and beyond in showing the home; being present at every appraisal, inspection, and showing; and negotiating the best possible price
Rick has always been just a text or phone call away- always accessible.
He has local connections; people who are willing to assist on a moment's notice because of their respect for Rick.
Certainly selling a home in today's maze of laws is confusing, but Rick is completely competent and knowledgeable and ethical; which lends great assurance to his clients. Rick earns your trust while making these big decisions.

Rick Allen is outstanding!!! My father died & my mom needed to sell her trailer in San Juan Texas. As her oldest daughter the task fell to me as we live in Wyoming. I got on the internet & searched realtors. What attracted me to Rick was not only his 5 star reviews but when I got on his website I saw he was a veteran and really wanted to help veterans... I gave him a call, told him my situation and said my dad had been a Korean vet. I told him the 3 days I’d be able to be at the trailer to clean & hopefully meet with him if he could help- that’s the background. Rick did everything! He worked with the title company & sent me paperwork before I left Wyoming. He met me at all times that were convenient for me at the trailer. He listed the trailer for top dollar & had it sold the 1st day. He’s honest, caring, and I’d recommend him to anyone.

If you are a veteran and you need to get a property with a VA loan in the valley, then you have to get Rick to be your agent. VA loans can sometimes be tricky and through personal experience lenders, title companies, VA reps, and even sellers would just rather not be bothered with some of those complexities and act like the loan cannot happen. We had a couple of issues like that on my loan I closed on at the end of July. However, both Rick’s tenacity and experience helped us successfully tread through the bureaucratic landmines. 90%+ of realtors would not have been able to help me close on my loan, but I was successful with Rick. Another big service he provides, that many realtors do not, he will walk the property with both the house inspector and the appraiser. Also, he is knowledgeable about multi-family residence. Fellow veterans, this is the man you need in the foxhole with you during home buying!

Rick Allen has met all of our expectations. Hes beyond qualified. Very professional, dedicated and an amazing person to work with. No matter what time of the day or what day of the week you call him, his always there to answer and assist you with anything. My husband and I are beyond satisfied with our outcome. I have to say that Rick Allen was absolutely spectacular. Very professional. Always punctual. Kept us VERY informed through the entire home buying process and stayed in contact with us from finding our home to assisting with anything we needed to closing on our home. We were relocated from South Korea to McAllen. Having Rick as a Realtor really made things easy for us. He took the time to ascertain our needs, explained us the specificity of the local market and, most importantly, never tried to push the sale. We felt really comfortable dealing with him. Besides Rick went further than "just" finding us a house, he also made sure all utilities were set up before we move in & was always available to answer our questions about the way things work in Texas (which has been a great help for us as foreigners).
