About Rick

Rick Barker is proud to be the owner and principal broker of this outstanding company. He joined the Godby Realty & Auction in 1998 as an auction clerk. He obtained his apprentice auctioneer’s license in 2000, his Realtor license in 2001, his principal auctioneer’s license in 2002, his broker license in 2004, and in October of 2009 he had the great opportunity to buy the company. He graduated Nancy High School in 1973. He worked for Pulaski County for 35 years and retired in September of 2009. He worked for the Sheriff’s office, was the elected Jailer, and ended with a 15-year career as the 9-1-1 Director. He lives in Somerset, his mother Ovelene Barker lives on West Hwy 80, my son David and his wife and children live in Lexington, KY, and he proudly attends Oak Hill Baptist Church.
