About Rick

Since spending my high school summers working at the Pawleys Island Pavillion; I dreamed of building a life in the Low Country of South Carolina. My wife, Karen from Greensboro, NC graduated from UNC Chapel Hill; and I have been fortunate to raise two children. Edward graduated from the Univ. of South Carolina with a double major in Finance & Real Estate. (also played football under Lou Holtz there). He later earned his masters in Real Estate Development from Clemson University. Presently living in Columbia & owner/broker of Palmetto Estates real estate sales & development company. Recently married to Kenny Florian in Brookgreen Gardens and resides in the Los Angeles, Ca. area.Family has always been a priority with us, and devote many hours to church and community activities. I was born & raised in the Greenville, SC area of Taylors. Graduated from Wade Hampton and then attended a division of Texas A & M in Stephenville, Texas.Although traveling many years around the United States, my southern roots pulled me back and I began my Real Estate career in 1996 with Century 21 in Southern Pines/Pinehurst, NC. We moved to the Ricefields community in Pawleys Island in 1999 and I bagan my affiliation with James W. Smith Real Estate. From the year 2000 to date, I have been the sales agent and or the listing agent of the year. I am consistenley a top 5 agent in the Pawleys Island/Litchfield area.
