About Rick

I am a third generation native of Flagstaff, Arizona. My family has lived in the Flagstaff region for almost 100 years. I graduated from Flagstaff High School, attended Northern Arizona University (with only 3 credits to go for my BA degree), and I was the first Hispanic Eagle Scout in Flagstaff.

I have been in the Real Estate business since 1992, having spent 16 years in retail management and 3 years in mortgage loan origination prior to that. Since joining the Real Estate industry I have worked that entire time serving the Greater Flagstaff market. I am, however, a member of the Phoenix Association of realtors as well, and I have sold several homes in the Phoenix area to Flagstaff clients over the past several years.

In 1992 I was elected to the first of my 2 terms as a city councilman. During those 8 years I also served on the Youth Commission, the Greater Flagstaff Economic Development Commission, the Tourism Commission, and the very first Flagstaff Metropolitan Planning Organization.

I am a past President of the Northern Arizona Association of Realtors, and currently serve on the Government Affairs Committee. I continually invest in educating myself for the benefit of my clients. As such I have recieved the Certified Distressed Property designation (CDPE), the Certified Investor Agent Specialist designation (CIAS), Short Sale & Foreclosure Resource designation (SFR), and the Certified Negotiation Expert designation (CNE).
