About Rick

As a Buyer's Only Agent, my job is to assist you with your home purchase from initial consultation and research to showing and through the negotiating and closing process. I prefer an Exclusive Buyer Agency relationship that affords my buyers the maximum representation allowable. I enjoy a very high closing rate, even in the sometimes difficult short-sale environment and don't shy away from these properties if they represent the best value for my buyer clients. This is a process and have worked with several clients for years before locating the perfect property for them. I believe strongly that thorough research and knowledge of the markets and comfort with all aspects of ownership is the best way to arrive at a successful purchase with my buyer clients and strive to make that process as effortless as possible.

If anyone is looking for an awesome real estate agent, Rick Young is your man. Living in New England, my husband and I ventured to Southport/Oak Island looking for a retirement home. Based on excellent reviews, I called Rick. I knew I chose the right agent from the very first phone contact. Upon arriving in Oak Island, he spent many hours showing my husband and I the area, giving us a wealth of knowledge. His patience and integrety have been truly outstanding. I was apprehensive about buying a bank owned home from a long distance away, but Rick has made the process easy as if I were sitting across the table from him.
