Rob Bouknight

Rob Bouknight is Co-Managing Partner of the Cowan | Bouknight Group of The Georgetown Office. A native Washingtonian and resident of Glover Park, Rob assists clients throughout Washington D.C., Northern Virginia, and Maryland. He strives to provide exceptional client-based services with a focus on integrity as he navigates both the financial and emotional implications present in any real estate transaction.

Since childhood, Rob has traveled extensively across the United States and Western Europe, which fueled his appreciation for other cultures and genuine interest in the international community and its well-being. He routinely assists state department, military, intelligence personnel, and international clientele who he greatly values for their wealth of experience and diversity.

Rob is heavily invested in the community he calls home, and volunteers with both local and national charities, from the east coast to the west coast. He is an Advisory Board member of The Stone and Holt Weeks Foundation, a versatile DC-based non-profit in which he has both a personal and professional role. He has also held leadership roles with The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, The Children’s National Medical Center, Mclean Youth Soccer, A Wider Circle, Team Rubicon, World Team Sports, and was a TM Brand Ambassador to name a few. Just like Rob, these organizations place value on each individual and seek to improve their lives at a personal level. Rob also values educational impact and focus and has held a role as a team member and Mentor with the Harvard Business School Online DC Chapter. He is also the Founder of the Arlington Rucking Group and an active participant in several DC local running groups.

As a four-time 24 Hour Ultra Marathon Contender and endurance athlete, Rob is competitive by nature and thrives in -pressure environments. He has events from the standard Marathon to the 100-mile endurance race and has consistently been involved in endurance running through his love for trail running. Recently, he ran the Spartan Race World Trail Series 100K in November 2021 and is headed to the iconic Moab 240 Mile Endurance Race in October of 2022. Rob is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys rock climbing, hiking, trail running, and sports from the competitive to the recreational level.

As an agent, Rob specializes in resale and acquisition and residential development. He assists corporate relocation clients as well as rental clients who are relocating to the DC area and seeking an expert to help them with their transition. Finally, he specializes in downsizing and resale for seniors and the financial and legal implications involved in many of these transactions. It is his goal to ensure that all parties are protected in any transaction and that the highest level of integrity is preserved at all times.
