Although you might see him clowning around from time to time, this REALTOR® knows how to put his nose to the grindstone. Rob grew up in a small town in Iowa, where he had the privilege of taking on jobs that prepared him for real estate. His father was a drywaller, and Rob spent many hours on job sites hauling materials and cleaning up.
In high school, Rob helped local farmers with planting, harvesting, and feeding livestock. Then in college, he worked in Hills building and installing custom cabinets. Around this same time, Rob also began performing as Duder the Clown—a gig that helped him pay his way through college and served as the foundation for many business partnerships. Before going into real estate, Rob was the co-owner of Funny Business, a store that offered costume rental, balloon decorating, and entertainment booking for events.
As a REALTOR®, Rob loves working with clients from all over the world and hearing people’s stories. He tells clients his job is their future. Matching them with the best properties to fit their needs and fill their hearts is his top priority.
Outside of real estate, Rob enjoys gardening and beekeeping. He also loves hiking and traveling with his wife for nearly three decades, Connie, and their young adult twins, Erin and Kalen. You can find him grilling or smoking meats, volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters, or performing as a clown at schools and local events, like the Iowa City Optimist Airport Breakfast.
