Robert Barker

Robert Barker has been a Vail Valley resident for the past 44 years. Born and raised in Amherst, Massachusetts, he completed his college education in upstate New York and decided to spend "one winter season" in the Colorado Rockies. It has been home ever since.
Shortly after arriving in Vail, he joined the Vail Ski School and followed that with a year-round position in marketing and public relations for Vail Resorts.

In 1988, Robert joined Slifer and Company at their Bridge Street office in Vail Village. When Slifer Smith and Frampton assumed the sales of Cordillera in 1993, Robert relocated to the fledgling development and has been there since specializing in selling and listing residential properties for the four Cordillera communities and all other areas of the Vail Valley. He has consistently been named one of the Top Producing Brokers for Cordillera during his tenure.

Robert and his wife, Karin, have two daughters, Bria 33 and Erin 30. Although the girls now have their own pursuits outside of the Vail Valley they spend as much time together as possible enjoying all of the activities the Colorado Mountains have to offer.
