About Robert
Real estate has long been a passion for Sarasota sales associate Robert Sherman. He has been buying and selling real estate for over 30 years and serving customers in the Sarasota area since 1990. His commitment to his customers, his knowledge of the real estate market and his white-glove service have been instrumental to his success.
Robert believes that concierge service involves more than simply finding a home for a customer or placing a buyer's property in the multiple listing service. He goes the extra mile for his customers and is dedicated to continually exceeding their goals and delivering results beyond the expected. His buyer service includes previewing listings, understanding the unique needs a particular customer may have and advising them on neighborhood attributes and lifestyle. Sellers can expect a unique and targeting marketing plan designed to specifically unite buyers with the exceptional properties represented by Premier Sotheby's International Realty.
Having been fortunate enough to represent several new construction projects in Sarasota for a national builder, Robert was instrumental in land acquisitions and development of the properties. One of his listings was recently featured in the real estate section of the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, and Robert had the honor of being included in an Inman article about what REALTORS® around the country are reading. He is a member of the REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee, and is a Certified Distressed Property Expert, a Certified Residential Specialist, and a historic homes specialist.
A native of Saint Augustine, Robert earned a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy and religion, with a minor in Latin American studies, from Flagler College. He also attended the Columbia Theological Seminary in Atlanta, Georgia. Robert has been married to his wife, Marie, for 24 years, and the couple has two college-aged sons, Zachary, and Christopher. The family has a second home in Rangeley, Maine, where Robert enjoys woodworking, hiking, fishing, traveling, and taking in the views from his front porch. He recently handmade a black walnut live edge river table that is 8 feet long and is the centerpiece of the home.
