I got to know Robert because he was helping my neighbor sell their house and he would show up in person regularly to clean up and make repairs to the house. I have several friends that are agents because my firm had done consulting work for a local real estate company, after witnessing Robert's level of support and passion for customer service, I began to realize that he was a cut above any agent I've ever met. My neighbors house was a MESS, 20 years + of roof leaks, termites, wood rot, collapsing posts, replaced copper pipes protruding from the ceiling to the middle of the kitchen, the list goes on. He came in, spent many days and weekends patching the roof, tearing out rugs, and many more things. Most agents would never do anything like this for fear they would get their aloha shirt sweaty. He finally convinced the seller to put some money into minimal professional repairs. I considered submitting a bid on the property and estimated my top price would have been $860000, Robert somehow ended up selling this once dilapidated place for $925000. Unbelievable! Later I referred him to a friend who wanted to buy in Manoa. My friend kept telling me he couldn't believe how much effort Robert put in to find the right place/deal for him (yes, my friend is very picky). The closed on the fixer upper for a great price, Robert went to work again. Helping my friend tear out rugs, make repairs, and various other things. Robert excels at helping customers on a budget plan for repairs/upgrades and helping them prioritize what should be done right away and what can wait till they have more money. I've always thought the 3% or so real estate agents take was way to much give Hawaii's million dollar properties, but with Robert, he earns every penny. If you use any other listing agent ask yourself why you're paying them upwards of $30,000. How many hours will they spend on your listing? 40-50? What is that $600 an hour? For what? Robert probably saved my friend $30k and easily earn my neighbor an additional $100k. Seriously, why would you chose any another agent?

A work colleague friend referred me to Robert after I was complaining one day about my prior real estate agent. My friend knows that I'm a no nonsense, go-getter type and my high expectations for performance.

Robert didn't disappoint.

Robert is a good listener and worked hard to understand what we were looking for, critical features and nice to haves. He doesn't just show you a bunch of places just to show that he's "doing something" like some other agents and when house inventory was low he looked up foreclosures and other sources. Robert works hard, he's very personable, and has the background and experience to not just show you good houses but does the little things that it takes to make your offer stand out from other offers in this hot market.

And he doesn't disappear after the sale. I was anxious about the state of the hardwood floors under the carpet so he showed up at closing with the keys and his tool bag. He helped me pull carpet! He also referred some great resources, contractors, plumber, electrician - he's a whirlwind of an agent and a one-stop-shop to find my right home, close it, and get it ready to move in.

Robert will change your expectations for real estate agents. Highly recommended.

As a first time house-hunter, I was riddled with anxiety about the home-buying process but right away, Robert set my nerves at ease. He is incredibly friendly and walked my partner and I thru the entire process. He took great care to ensure that we understood every step involved and answered every question we had, often going out of his way to make sure he had answers to things we didn't even know to ask! He also recommended an amazing lending agent who we ended up using too which was a great help.
