Buying a home is no small matter. Besides being the largest financial transaction you may ever undertake, it’s probably also the most complex. There are many good reasons to work with a qualified real estate professional—not just someone who knows real estate but someone that knows homes and those are two entirely different things. Real Estate is the business of buying and selling homes and it is important to know and understand that business very well which we, at Royal Realty do. However, we also know homes. Robin Hartl has over 20 years of construction experience. She also has a degree in Interior Design. She can help her clients by seeing past the staging and emotional enticements to make sure their potential new home is mechanically sound. Joe Trout is a retired police officer and knows the Twin Cities since he has lived here his entire life. He has a passion for homes and obviously helping people. They say location is the most important factor when choosing a home. Joe has more knowledge about location than many you will find in the industry. So many Realtors concentrate on just one area of the Twin Cities. Joe has a broader knowledge because of his past law enforcement career.
With Royal Realty, you’ll be served, not sold. Your interests become our interests. And you’ll be working with someone who has gone the extra mile by delivering the best service. Plus, we are REALTOR®s who have established track records, with proven experience in representing the concerns of home buyers and sellers.
Robin has been in the construction field for over 20 years. She started by obtaining her degree in Real Estate Development to follow in her grandfather’s footsteps. She worked for a developer managing construction projects in Wisconsin before finally packing her bags for Minneapolis in 1983. Robin was always an avid DIYer and earned the co-host position on the popular home improvement television show
“Hometime” with Dean Johnson. She spent 12 years on the show remodeling kitchens and Bathrooms, building new homes, additions, garages, decks, creating gorgeous landscaping and more. After 12 years on the show, Robin left the show to do infomercials for home
improvement products such as Little Giant Ladder, Worx GT, Jaw Saw and Climb Cart. She got her degree in interior design and has also been a columnist for “Remodeling Ideas”, a quarterly home improvement magazine. In 2001, she was selected as one of the
“Ten Outstanding Young Americans” sponsored by the US Junior Chamber of Commerce as a positive role model for women in non-traditional careers, for encouraging women to further their education beyond high school, involvement with Habitat for Humanity and her
extensive community service. Robin has also appeared at grand openings for Lowe’s Home Improvement stores across the country giving seminars on home improvement topics for customers, has appeared frequently on Twin Cities Live as their home improvement expert, QVC as a home improvement guest host and Evine Live as their design expert. After working as a Realtor for other brokers, she decided to get her broker’s license and open her own company with her husband, Joe Trout.
