About Roland

Roland Broussard joined Realtex Housing Management, LLC in October 2008. In this capacity, he is responsible for all aspects of asset and property management oversight, fiscal operations, as well as assists in the site selection, development, and construction phases of all Realtex projects in the development and rehabilitation pipelines. His current responsibilities include the direct supervision of over 110 employees, 35 properties and over 3,124 units, implementation of all on-site social service programs, the coordination of developing long lasting relationships with community-based organizations, tax credit syndicators and investors, and compliance monitoring oversight and reporting for various state programs. Roland has over 30 years of hands-on experience in residential and commercial real estate, investment, brokerage, asset and property management arenas, and has practiced with his own Real Estate firm in four States including Florida, California, New York, and Texas.

Roland previously served as the Vice President of Property Management with Reliance Housing Foundation, Inc., a Florida non-profit affordable housing developer whose mission was to develop, preserve, and manage low-income affordable housing in South Florida and the US Virgin Islands. During Roland’s tenure at Reliance he successfully completed the gut renovation of several existing large multi-family properties, including an 814 unit property with residents’ in-place in Fort Lauderdale while overseeing a successful lease up of a 150 unit new LIHTC property in the US Virgin Islands. Prior to Florida, Roland worked as the Director of Property Management for Housing and Services, Inc., a New York City non-profit affordable housing developer for over six years. At Housing and Services he was responsible for the asset, property management, and fiscal operations of over 2,500 Single Room Occupancy (“SRO”) and affordable housing units in the five boroughs of New York City targeting low to very-low income individuals and families, homeless, and special needs populations. Prior to Housing and Services, Inc, Duddleston Management Corp., a large Houston-based professional fee-paid property management company, employed Mr. Broussard as a Regional Investment Manager where he was directly responsible for the management of 1600 multi-family apartment units in four major cities of Texas, California and Nevada.
