Ron Rooney

Ron has 16 years’ experience as a REALTOR® in San Diego County, and more than 20 years’ experience as a licensed California attorney previously with a San Francisco law firm and as Corporate Counsel for Cisco Systems in San Jose, California. Ron has extensive contracts and negotiation experience through his work as a real estate broker associate and as a practicing attorney. He has worked extensively with historic homes in North Park/Morley Field, South Park, Mission Hills, Kensington, and University Heights and has personally restored several historic homes in San Diego and in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has effectively counseled his clients on working with the City of San Diego Historical Resources Board to bring their homes through the Mills Act, historical designation process to secure substantial property tax savings.

Ron currently resides in the Downtown San Diego Waterfront District and has extensive experience with the Pacific Gate Luxury Tower and with hi-rise and mid-rise condominiums in the Marina/Little Italy/Columbia districts. He received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and his law degree from California Western School of law. He his passionate about providing competent, ethical service and counsel to his clients as a trusted advisor and involved member of the local community.
