Ron Street is the founder and Broker/Owner of Street Property Group, serving Lake Conroe, Montgomery County, The Woodlands, and the greater Houston area.
Ron entered real estate as a licensed agent in 1969 and obtained his broker’s license in 1972. His career has included work in California, Texas, Arizona, and Idaho, with most of his experience centered in California and Texas.
His experience includes residential and investment property, relocation, 1031 exchange-related real estate transactions, reverse mortgage related planning and real estate assistance supported by both professional and firsthand personal experience, estate related property matters, senior transitions, and situations requiring coordination among families and trusted professional advisors.
Ron has assisted clients as they considered how a reverse mortgage might fit their housing and financial circumstances. He also personally obtained a reverse mortgage at an important point in his own life and later refinanced it into a 30-year fixed-rate mortgage. That experience gives him a practical understanding of the importance of reviewing the costs, responsibilities, alternatives, family concerns, and long-term plan.
When mortgage, legal, financial, estate, tax, or exchange-related concerns may affect a decision, Ron encourages clients to involve the appropriate mortgage professionals, housing counselors, attorneys, accountants, financial advisors, qualified intermediaries, and other licensed professionals early.
Ron’s background extends beyond traditional real estate. He is a former Registered Investment Advisor, a former senior banking advisor serving high-net-worth clients, a former adjunct professor of real estate, and a Lifetime Credentialed California Community Colleges instructor. He has also served as a real estate expert witness in California Superior Court matters.
Ron was inducted into the RE/MAX® Hall of Fame in 2008 and is a Senior Home Coach™. He has also served as a speaker, educator, television host, moderator, panelist, and community resource.
Ron founded The Street Connection™ to help individuals and families connect with the right people, ask better questions, and identify the right next step before important decisions are made.
