In 2003 Ron retired and built his home in Pine Mountain Lake where his parents had been living since 1985. Still feeling young, energetic, and familiar with Pine Mountain Lake, Ros witnessed its growth since his parents bought their home here. He then decided to study and re-apply for his Real Estate License, which he enjoyed working for the Red Carpet Realty in San Leandro in the 70's.
Ron joined Sugar Pine Realty in Groveland in 2004 and after 17 years with the company transitioned to Berkshire Hathaway. He is now a member of the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Drysdale Properties Team. He is proud to be under the leadership of our President/CEO Gretchen Pearson who was recognized as one of the women by HousingWire as 2021 Women of Influence. Presently, the brokerage supports 1,275+ agents in 46 offices, serving 24 counties across Northern California and Nevada through Gretchen's leadership.
After serving in the U.S. Army, Ron worked for the Naval Air Systems Command for 32 years first as an apprentice at the Naval Air Station, Alameda. He was promoted to Inspector, Examiner, and Aircraft Components Planner/Estimator, and later he transferred to Cherry Point Marine Air Station in North Carolina. In 1994 due to Military BRAC (Base Realignment and Closure) where Ron completed his last 9 years at Cherry Point as the Components Planning Branch Head and Aircraft Components Manager. He was responsible for a 40 million dollars quarterly components repair program for the support of Navy and Marine Corps Aircraft.
Working for the Marine Corps taught Ron the value of Attention to Details, something he always applies to his real estate business. Ron is responsible for his actions and his client's real estate needs are his number one priority. Once the sale is closed, the business relation ends, and the friendship begins.
